Many issues that come up during retrospectives have their roots already in the contracting. So this session was ment to focus on the contracting and to exchange experiences.

During the discussion our focus shifted a little bit from the topics to be discussed within the contracting to some even more general issues that are based on how does it even come to a contracting.

• A contracting that takes place in a personal meeting is much different to a telco but especially many independent facilitators don't have the chance to meet their sponsors
• Another topic was the order in which you do the business offer and the contracting. If you have already an agreed order then it is easier to invest time for the contracting, on the other hand if you have the chance to do the contracting first, you can decide if you want to place an order for this client at all.
• We found out that there are some differences if you work as an independent consultant or as a member of an organisation, so there were no general results but a number of interesting other points of view.
